Welcome to Warcraft Tavern’s Reputation Guide to the Ashen Verdict in Wrath of the Lich King Classic! Within this guide we will go over how to gain reputation, how to obtain the legendary weapon Shadowmourne, and what patterns are available from the quartermaster at each rank.

There are two ways to gain reputation to level your rank with The Ashen Verdict. The first way to gain reputation with The Ashen Verdict is with quests: completing the questline to obtain Shadowmourne and the weekly raid quests for 10 and 25-man content. Each quest completed will grant you a certain amount of reputation upon completion. The second — and most efficient — way to gain a significant amount of reputation is to do a full clear of Ice Crown Citadel.

Upon reaching Exalted, you will have completed the following achievement:

How to Reach Exalted with the Ashen Verdict

Unlike some of the other Wrath factions, the Ashen Verdict does not have a tabard. Because of this, the only reliable way to gain rep for Ashen Verdict is to farm trash in Icecrown Citadel. The easiest way to do this is to simply kill all the trash mobs in 10-man ICC in a raid group and reset the instance (you can’t kill any of the bosses or you will be saved to the instance and can’t reset). This requires about 52 trash runs (47 for humans) and should take a little more than 12 hours of playtime.

  • Most of the trash mobs within Icecrown Citadel give 15 reputation, including the bonus for Diplomacy.
  • Some of the bigger mobs, such as Deathbound Ward and Deathspeaker High Priest, give 45 to 50 reputation.
  • Most of the bosses within Icecrown Citadel gives 250 reputation. However, the Gunship Battle gives 200 reputation and defeating Sister Svalna, who is located at the entrance to the Frostwing Halls, gives 450 reputation.
  • Defeating the Lich King will grant 1500 reputation per kill.

Who Needs Ashen Verdict Rep

For the average player, the most valuable reason to get exalted with the Ashen Verdict is the epic, upgradable rings they offer at each reputation level. These 5 rings (listed below) are specialized to fit your role. Besides the ring, there are numerous crafting recipes that can be obtained by spending Primordial Saronite.
