PvE Arms Warrior DPS Gems, Enchants & Consumables

Besides your gear and talents, there are 3 additional ways you as a player can increase your character’s power: gems, enchants, and consumables, which make your character significantly more powerful when combined correctly.

Many guilds and raid groups may not invite you at all if you don’t have the correct gems, enchants and consumables — but worry not, this guide will help you avoid that problem!

Gems

This will be the best option for this slot throughout the entire expansion!

As an Arms Warrior early in the expansion, you will benefit the most out of Strength gems such as Bold Scarlet Ruby/Bold Cardinal Ruby!

As time passes and the expansion progresses into the later phases, you will want to start stacking as much Armor Penetration as possible, forgoing strength gems in favor of Armor Penetration Gems, namely Fractured Scarlet Ruby and Fractured Cardinal Ruby.

You will want to revert back to Bold Scarlet Ruby/Bold Cardinal Ruby only after reaching the 1400 Armor Penetration cap.

Inscribed Monarch Topaz/Inscribed Ametrine will provide you with both the much-needed Strength bonus and added Critical Strike Chance.

Etched Monarch Topaz /Etched Ametrine will be the perfect choice when it comes to improving your Hit Rating, providing you with both much-needed Strength as well as Hit Chance.

As far as blue gems work, you will only want to have one Blue Gem in order to trigger your Meta Gem socket bonus. You will want to use Enchanted Tear in the early phases of the expansion, later on swapping it with Nightmare Tear.

Enchants

This is the best enchantment that you can acquire for this slot.

You can acquire this enchantment from the Knights of the Ebon Blade, however, if you do not have enough reputation for it, the next best thing is Arcanum of Triumph.

This is the best enchantment that you can acquire for this slot.

You can acquire this enchantment from the Sons of Hodir, alternatively, if you lack the required reputation in order to purchase it, you can use Inscription of Triumph acquired in Wintergrasp.

This is the best enchantment that you can acquire for this slot.

Alternatively, you can utilize Flexweave Underlay if you have Engineering or Swordguard Embroidery if you have Tailoring.

The best enchantment that you can acquire for this slot.

Alternatively, if you do not have enough gold to purchase the materials needed for it, you can opt-in for Enchant Chest – Super Stats

There are no better options when it comes to your bracer’s enchantment. However, if you find yourself lacking in expertise, you can use Enchant Bracers – Expertise.

Arms Warrior does not benefit from Haste like a Fury Warrior does, being less inclined to stack it overall. However, that does not mean that Hyperspeed Accelerators does not represent a very powerful enchantment that even Arms Warriors can benefit from. Hyperspeed Accelerators requires Engineering 400, granting you with a 12-second bonus of +10% Attack Speed which can be used consistently every minute.

Alternatively, you can choose Enchant Gloves – Crusher if you did not pick up Engineering.

The only possible and viable choice for your waist.

This is the best enchantment that you can gain for your legs, however, if you do not have enough gold you can choose Nerubian Leg Armor instead.

Nitro Boosts can be considered one of the strongest escape tools in the game, with the requirement of having Engineering 400. Alternatively, you can choose to opt-in for Enchant Boots – Greater Assault if you have enough Hit Rating or Enchant Boots – Icewalker if you lack it.

In case you chose Enchanting as one of your professions, you can benefit from one unique trait, allowing you to enchant your rings.

This will be the best enchantment you can acquire for this slot!

As an alternative, if you are severely lacking Armor Penetration, you can use Enchant Weapon – Executioner!

Consumables

The Flask of Endless Rage is the strongest option for the flask / elixir slot.

Alternatively, you can utilize Flask of the North if you are an alchemist, providing decent bonuses.

Like with your gems, you’ll want to use armor penetration food (Hearty Rhino), unless that would push you past the armor penetration cap (1400 rating), at which point you should then use Strength food (Dragonfin Filet) instead.

In a pinch, you can also use Hit Rating (Snapper Extreme) or Expertise (Rhinolicious Wormsteak) food to hit your hit and expertise caps, respectively. However, this is only a last resort — do not rely on them for your cap.

Indestructible Potion is hands down the best potion that you can acquire as an Arms Warrior due to the Armored to the Teeth. Not only that you will acquire +3500 Armor improving your overall survivability but you will also gain +97 Attack Power! You will only be able to use it once per fight so what you will want to do is an action commonly referred to as “Pre-pot” — consume one potion right before the fight starts in order to benefit from two potions in a single battle.
