This guide will cover how to get the Grimoire of Synergy rune for Warlocks in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Grimoire of Synergy Rune
To get the Grimoire of Synergy rune, you need to be level 30 and have the Metamorphosis rune to start the quest. Check out our Metamorphosis Rune Guide if you need help getting it!
Once you have met these requirements, you’ll need to complete the following steps:
- You will receive a letter in the mail from Doan requesting your assistance at the Warlock Camp (49.2, 57.2) in the Barrens. Visit him.
- In the camp, accept A Solid Foundation from Raszel Ander.
- Head toward Ashenvale and reach the Shadow (90.3, 40.1). You can find it above the Warsong Lumber Camp, on the northeast side.
- Use the invisibility potion received from Raszel and interact with a tree to collect the Bough of Shadows. Upon looting the item, you will be debuffed with a permanent stacking DoT effect that persists through death.
- The DoT effect deals Shadow Damage and can be mitigated by Shadow Ward. The DoT effect is based on your maximum HP, meaning that it deals percentage damage. It’s worth knowing that the debuff can’t kill you while using a Flight Path.
- Return to Raszel Ander at the Warlock Camp in the Barrens and turn in the quest.
- Accept Soul Vessel and speak with Doan again at the camp.
- Be sure to speak with Doan before you continue.
- Craft or buy a Soul Vessel. This item can only be crafted by engineers who have acquired the Schematic: Soul Vessel recipe by having an Honored Reputation status with your Supply Faction.
- Head to Desolace and find your way to the Mannoroc Coven. Find Rasziel once you reach the location at (51.2, 82.6) — he will be near an altar.
- If Rasziel isn’t there, you missed a step somewhere and will need to go back to Doan at the camp.
- Accept the quest Tempting Fate. This will spawn Des’Altek, a level 40 elite. Defeat it to complete the chain and receive the rune.
