Where to Find the Prophecy of a Desecrated Citadel in Season of Discovery

The Prophecy of a Desecrated Citadel is required to learn the Homunculi Rune, one of the most powerful Priest Runes. You can obtain it in many different ways, as each starting zone except for Mulgore has its own method of obtaining the Rune. These are not Race or Faction specific, but it will generally be quicker to get this Rune in the zone you started in.

Where to find the Prophecy of a Desecrated Citadel

Dun Morogh

To get this Rune in Dun Morogh, you will need to kill Frostmane Seers and Frostmane Shadowcasters until it drops. These two enemies are level 8-10, and you will likely want to be around that level range before trying to solo them.

Elwynn Forest

Defias Rogue Wizards are the only enemy in Elwynn Forest that drops the Prophecy. These are level 9-10 caster-type enemies and can hit fairly hard. Just like in Dun Morogh, you will want to be at least level 8 before attempting to get this solo.

Teldrassil

The Prophecy is dropped by Dark Sprites and Rascal Sprites in Fel Rock Cave, barely north of Dolanaar. These enemies range from level 5 to 7, making them the lowest levels to drop this Rune. Once you leave Shadowglen at around level 5 or 6 you should have no issues getting this Rune on your own.

Durotar

For this one, you will need to head over to the Echo Isles off the coast of Sen’jin Village. You will likely end up here fairly early while questing, so I recommend just heading here as part of your natural progression. The Prophecy is dropped by Voodoo Trolls and Hexed Trolls, ranging from level 8 to 9.

Tirisfal Glades

This Rune is available from Scarlet Warriors and Scarlet Missionaries in Tirisfal. Warriors range from level 6 to 7, while Missionaries are slightly higher at levels 7 or 8. If you want to grab this Rune early, I recommend taking a left immediately after leaving Deathknell, heading over to the tower just behind Solliden Farmstead.

Meditation & Learning Homunculi

To activate and learn Homunculi Rune you will need to have two Meditation buffs active. These are gained by kneeling with /kneel at your racial shrines. This process is taught to you during the quest to learn Penance at level 2. In this case, as you need two Meditation buffs, you will need to find another Priest who is not the same race as you. That Priest will need their racial Meditation before they can grant it to you. To share Meditation buffs, /kneel in front of the Priest while they use the command /pray on you. This will share their Meditation with you, and if you want it to go both ways you will need to repeat the process on them to pass on your Meditation.

Once you have two Meditation buffs, use the Prophecy of a Desecrated Citadel to learn your new Rune!
