aoe tanking really going to struggle without FoK

I have to agree with Mick here, with all the other classes getting a plethora of damage over time AoE effects, playing a rogue is going to feel pretty bad without cloak of shadows. I’m going to be spending most of my gold on restorative pots and hoping they allow me to vanish after a few ticks.

If mutilate is not only for daggers a combination of SaD, Mutilate, deadly brew and envenom when possible would be insane for a single target.

About aoe tanking ye, i guess it’ll be terrible, i think it’ll work more like an off-tank for boss fight

Would have preferred a thrown weapon variant for these ranged attacks as I prefer the sneaky assassin to just “gun” , I do wonder what level we are going to get these at since the level cap is 25 BUTT with that said I will be rolling a rogue first

Does mutilate require daggers? Cause it doesn’t say it does.

As someone else mentioned, it looks like we’ll be lacking some AoE dmg for tanking, but what concerns equally is how combo points work in classic. We wont even be able to tab target without losing our combo points every time we change target. I’m still planning to play rogue, because who knows what we’ll get in the lvl 40 phase, and who knows if we’ve even seen everything. I’m liking the idea of playing a “poison combat” build 🙂

The reduction to ambush and backstab cost could be big. Main issue with dagger specc in vanilla was the high energy cost

Also piqued my interest as a pure dagger rogue through entire classic,
A little curious how the runes will be applied and the interchangability, between them.

Also, could be funny if you bring alot of flex-tanks, each having their niche specialty.
Rogues obviously being worst at trash tanking, but perhaps with avoidance cap being the strongest 1-2 target tanks in the game.

What else do you recommend them doing to the class that is already the absolute GOAT at classic pvp?

Why no real Shadowstep, Cloak of Shadows, or FoK? Did anyone really fkin like being a Pirate in Legion?
Who asked for Envenom?? I see other classes getting stuff they may have asked for, or useful reworks to provide new tools and ways to interact with opponents.
Feel like we got stuffed, again.

Similar things will likely come in future Phases. Shadow Strike is effectively a Stealth only Shadowstep, which fits a lot better into the Classic style of things. Additionally, Rogues will likely be able to reach obscene levels of evasion, forcing them to be single-target only tanks will give them a specific niche, which seems to be the idea for all of the new tanks.

Um, yes, the retail combat spec is fucking awesome. It fits perfectly. Envenom is amazing. It’s more like you’re stuffing yourself and everyone else loves it.
