Displacement Rune Guide – Season of Discovery

Where to Find the Displacement Rune in Season of Discovery (SoD)

This guide will cover how to get the Displacement Rune for Mages in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Displacement Rune

To get the Displacement rune you must be at least level 45, or you will not be able to loot the items required.

You or someone in your group will need to use a Scroll of Geomancy or a Worldcore Fragment on each of four Leyline Confluxes in different zones.

You will need 4 Scrolls or Fragments in total to get the rune, but you can loot the items in a group, so it may be wise to group with other players so no one needs to contribute all 4 items. You can even do this in a raid group. This discovery is also needed by Paladins for their Purifying Power Rune, Priests for their Despair Rune, and Warlocks for the Backdraft Rune.

When someone uses the item at a Leyline Conflux they will summon an Enraged Leywalker, a level 47 elite that you must kill to loot a Leycryst. Here are the locations and the items you must loot from them:

You need to deal at least one point of damage to the Leywalker, or you will not be able to loot it. If someone has recently summoned the Leywalker, you may need to wait a few minutes for the Conflux to respawn.

When you have collected all 4 Leycrysts, you will be able to combine them to learn the rune.

Seems that everyone needs to tag the mob to loot it. Just being in the group isn’t enough. Had a group of around 20 and the mob melted so on future ones we slowed down to make sure everyone got a tag. Also they are immune to arcane damage. As a mage, I was using fire blast to get a tag.
