This guide will cover how to get the Living Bomb rune for Mages in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Living Bomb Rune

To obtain the Living Bomb rune, head to the cave at Cliffspring Falls in Darkshore (56.0, 34.0). Inside you’ll find Lady Sedorax, a level 18 elite Naga with 3 adds accompanying her. Kill her to loot Spell Notes: BIVOLG NIMB, which you can decipher using a Comprehension Charm to get Spell Notes: Living Bomb. You can right-click this item to learn the Rune Engraving.

If you need more Comprehension Charms, they can be purchased from Reagent Vendors. You can find a complete list of vendors in our Mage Scrolls Guide.

To obtain the Living Bomb rune, head to the big island in the lake in Loch Modan and kill Stonesplinter Seers. One of them will drop the Chewed Spell Notes, which you can decipher using a Comprehension Charm to get Spell Notes: Living Bomb. You can right-click this item to learn the Rune Engraving.

If you need more Comprehension Charms, they can be purchased from Reagent Vendors. You can find a complete list of vendors in our Mage Scrolls Guide.

To obtain the Living Bomb rune, head to Fenris Isle in Silverpine Forest and kill any of the following enemies:

One of them will drop A Talking Head. This item begins the quest Resting in Pieces. Go into the castle courtyard and interact with a grave there. This will progress the quest to The Hidden Niche. Next, head up the tower on the left side of the island and interact with the Dusty Shelf. This will start the quest Wand to Bethor, which leads to the quest A Token of Gratitude. Turn in this last quest to learn the rune.

For this method, you will need to be at least level 20 and have the Blink ability trained.

To get the Living Bomb rune, head to The Barrens and locate an Etched Carving at Blackthorn Ridge in the south of the zone, in the quilboar area above Razorfen Kraul (45.4, 80). You’ll see a green circle on the ground in front of it.

Stand inside the circle and read the Etched Carving. A path made up of more green circles will appear and you will gain the Path of no Steps buff. You must use the Blink ability to get from one green circle to the next without taking any steps. You can take your time doing this as the buff does not expire as long as you are in the right spot. You’ll have to wait for Blink‘s 15 second cooldown anyway. The actual area you can stand in is a little bigger than the green circle. If you step or land outside the circle, you’ll have about 2 seconds to get back on the path before you lose the buff and have to start over.

When you reach the end of the path, Blink one more time to the next Etched Carving and quickly read it before the debuff falls off. Spell Notes: Living Bomb will appear in your bag, and you can right-click it to learn the rune.

To get the Living Bomb rune, head to Westfall and kill any of the following Harvesters around the farms that are scattered across the zone:

One of them will drop Spare Reaper Parts.

Next, kill the Dust Devil air elementals that can be found in the open fields of the zone to get an Elemental Core. Then you can right-click either of these items to combine them into a Prototype Engine.

Find a friendly Harvest Reaper Prototype at one of the farms. This is a level 18 mechanical creature. Use the Prototype Engine to activate it and it will attack you. Kill it to loot Spell Notes: Living Bomb. Right-click this item to learn the rune.
