This guide will cover how to get the Seal of Martyrdom rune for Paladins in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Seal of Martyrdom Rune
Go to the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind City and speak to Brother Romulus in the back left side of the main hall. He’ll tell you that a paladin named Ada Gelhardt is missing and was last seen in the catacombs.
Head down there by using the stairs to your left, on the same side as Brother Romulus. (Note that there is another set of stairs on the other side that also leads to catacombs, but you will not find what you need on that side.)
Go all the way to the bottom room of the catacombs and look for a shelf on your left with a candle on it. There will be a Charred Note that you can click on to pick up. If another paladin has just picked it up, you may have to wait for it to respawn.
Go to the island on the fork in the river between Westfall, Darkshore, and Elwynn. You’ll find Ada Gelhardt there (technically the island is in Duskwood and is at 4, 28). Speak with her and progress her dialogue, and she’ll attack you. Ada is level 10. You can have help, but you must land the last blow. Talk to her again and she’ll give you the Rune of Martyrdom, which you can right-click to learn the Seal of Martyrdom rune.

i’ve been searching for 20 mins now and still no note spawns in the catacombs 🙁
Hi Brian, to confirm, you spoke with Brother Romulus and went through whatever dialog options he had available?
It’s not showing for me either. I’ve revisited multiple times over the last two days, hung around for ten minutes or more each time in case it was a slow respawn or something. Nope, nuthin.
Maybe drop a hint where the dwarf version of this is, so we can go there instead?
So for the record had the same problem
There are TWO catacombs, one on the LEFT side of the cathedral, looking at the altar, and one on the RIGHT.
The LEFT ramp down the hall to the left of the altar is the catacombs you need to go down into. We only thought there was a right side, and that was the issue
