This guide will cover how to get the Rapid Killing Rune for Hunters in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.
Rapid Killing is obtained by first entering the cave in the northeast corner of Searing Gorge (21, 35). Inside you’ll find a tablet that starts the quest The Burning Beast.

This quest sends you to Blasted Lands to speak with a blood elf named Bloodmage Lynnore in the northern part of the zone (50, 15). She will direct you to kill Shadowsworn in the zone until you get five chains.
Return to the blood elf to get the quest Brought to Heel. You’ll need to defeat a Core Hound named Calefactus the Unleashed. He’ll be somewhere around Dreadmaul Post (48, 38). You can use Track Beasts to help you find him. Once defeated, use the item you were given on his corpse to get a Fel Lifeblood.
Return to Bloodmage Lynnore once more to get your Rune of the Ravenous plus the Infernal Lasso, which will allow you to tame the Core Hound as a pet!
