A short tweet posted by @sonii has given us a bit more insight into how Season of Discoveries Rune system will work. In the video we see players given the ability to choose specific Runes for different item slots, allowing them to pick and mix within a semi-restricted framework.
A lot of the enhanced abilities we can see in the short video are reworked versions of later abilities and talents. Abilities like Devastate and Victory Rush, Talents such as Warbringer, and even later passives like Single-Minded Fury. These abilities are of course altered to fit the Classic gameplay more.
