This guide will cover how to get the Overcharged Rune for Shamans in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

• Slot: Bracers
• Added: Phase 3

How to Get the Overcharged Rune

You need to be level 45 to obtain this rune.

First, you will need to complete four “Answering Calls” — you will need to collect 4 sets of Shaman’s Notes and their corresponding Sapta items at different locations, and use each Sapta before you kill the zone’s Spirit Rock:

Smudged Shaman’s Notes (Tanaris)

• Smudged Shaman’s Notes will drop from Blisterpaw Hyenas in Tanaris. Hyenas are very prevalent in the zone, especially towards the center of the map.
• Once you have it, head to (62, 64) and use the Earth Sapta. Kill the Spirit Rock.
• Pick up Answering Earth’s Call.

Charred Shaman’s Notes (Searing Gorge)

• Charred Shaman’s Notes will drop from Magma Elementals in Searing Gorge. Magma Elementals are a common mob throughout the zone.
• Once you have it, head to (24.2, 72.8), and use the Fire Sapta. Kill the Spirit Rock.
• Pick up Answering Fire’s Call.

Torn Shaman’s Notes (The Hinterlands)

• Torn Shaman’s Notes will drop from Green Sludge in The Hinterlands. (See the map below.)
• Once you have it, head to (51.0, 46.9), and use the Air Sapta. Kill the Spirit Rock.
• Pick up Answering Air’s Call.

Waterlogged Shaman’s Notes (Azshara)

• Waterlogged Shaman’s Notes will drop from Haldarr Trickster in Azshara. You will find them near the temple ruins in the western portion of the zone (See the map below.)
• Once you have it, head to (14.8, 46.9), and use the Water Sapta. Kill the Spirit Rock.
• Pick up Answering Water’s Call.

Now, you need to head to the west coast of Feralas to kill Water Elementals — they should be easy to find both on the northern and the southern shoreline). These Elementals will drop Elemental Essence. You will need to collect 12 of them in total.

Then, turn in your four Answering Call quests near (35, 32) in Feralas. Completing this step will spawn a Twilight Dark Shaman (a level 50 Elite). Kill him to loot the Overcharged Rune.
