In a new video posted to the World of Warcraft Youtube channel Aggrend (Josh Greenfield – Senior Game Producer, WoW Classic) has confirmed that Gnomeregan will be a raid instance in phase 2 of Season of Discovery when the level cap is increased to level 40.
Phases are expected to last “Some number of weeks, more than a month, less than three or four months” as mentioned by Blizzard in a previous interview.
With raids in SoD Blizzard is keeping the quests intact and redoing them, as well as upping the rewards for them. One of the quests for Horde will give a portal from Stranglethorn Vale to Gnomeregan.
They’re also looking at doing something special for horde to make it an even playing field when going that deep into alliance zones.
