Tucked into today’s announcements of the pre-patch and launch date for Mists of Pandaria Classic, Blizzard is offering players a special reward for defeating Balnazzar, the first boss in the Scarlet Enclave raid in Season of Discovery. As long as you defeat this demonic boss by June 30th, you will earn a level 85 character boost on Classic progression realms (currently Cataclysm Classic, soon to be Mists of Pandaria Classic).
Currently you can also level the old-fashioned way on Cataclysm Classic with the Joyous Journeys buff, but jumping right in at level 85 will allow you to get started immediately on the new content when the full Mists of Pandaria expansion launches.
Get a Boost from Balnazzar in Season of Discovery
Take advantage of a golden opportunity and get a head start in Mists of Pandaria Classic. Through June 30, successfully defeat Dreadlord Balnazzar in the Scarlet Enclave raid in Season of Discovery to earn one Level 85 Character Boost (Classic Progression), just in time to visit Pandaria.
Finish the fight to the end, and your reward will be granted on July 1. And if you’ve already taken down Balnazzar in Season of Discovery, have no fear! You, too, will be granted a Character Boost for your ‘retroactive’ bravery.
You must have an active World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time. Only one Level 85 Character Boost (Progression) will be granted per active World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time account.
