This guide will cover how to get the Overload rune for Shamans in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Overload Rune
This is the first rune you’ll be able to pick up, and you’ll do so through a quest in your race’s starting zone. Unlike other Shaman runes, this rune can only be obtained in your race’s starting zone. You won’t be able to complete the quest in other starting zones.
To get the Overload rune, you must first reach level 2. You’ll then be able to pick up the quest Icons of Power from Shikrik, the Shaman Trainer in the Valley of Trials in Durotar (42.4, 69.0).
Once you have the quest, you will need to slay the Scorpid Workers found all over the Valley of Trials until one drops the Dyadic Icon.
Right-click this item to equip it in your relic slot. To activate it, continue fighting Scorpid Workers. Each time their Poison deals damage to you, you will generate one stack of the Inspired buff. At 10 stacks, you can open your character window and right-click the relic to learn the rune.
To get the Overload rune, you must first reach level 2. You’ll then be able to pick up the quest Icons of Power from Meela Dawnstrider, the Shaman Trainer at Red Cloud Mesa in Mulgore (45, 76).
Once you have the quest, you will need to slay the Bristleback Shaman in Brambleblade Ravine to the east until one drops a Dyadic Icon.
Right-click this item to equip it in your relic slot. To activate it, continue fighting Bristleback Shaman. Each time their lightning deals damage to you, you will generate one stack of the Inspired buff. At 10 stacks, you can open your character window and right-click the relic to learn the rune.
