Damage Reduction Increased for World PvP in Season of Discovery

Blizzard has implemented a change to the way that health and damage works in PvP via hotfix for Season of Discovery. Players will no longer receive up to 50% increased health while inside a battleground. Instead, the global damage reduction for abilities used in PvP combat has been increased. This is intended to leave battlegrounds effectively unchanged while also applying a similar effect to PvP in the open world.

- The global Damage Reduction to spells in PvP has been increased to 50% Physical/60% Magic reductions (was 25% Physical/40% Magic reductions).
- Developers’ notes: Players should now have 50% more effective health in PvP against both Physical and Magical damage in the open world, and PvP in Battlegrounds should feel unchanged.
