As promised, Blizzard held a surprise panel at PAX East this afternoon, and — as many have probably already expected — Legion Remix finally got an official announcement!
Legion Remix Announcement
We didn’t get a lot of details about it quite yet, but two interesting things got mentioned:
- Mythic Keystones with the Wild Item Scaling of Remix: Mythic Keystone systems were first introduced in the Legion, so devs wanted to hit on the MoP Remix crowd and come up with something to occupy the Mythic+ audience
- Open World will get Increased Difficulty World Tier (think Diablo difficulty tiers) in a form of The Shattered Timeline, where thing have gone terribly wrong and everything ended up being substantially more difficult, providing a challenge to the players leveling up or are max level and doing Legion World Quests
Otherwise, we have been told that “the team is currently hard at work delving deep into how we are going to integrate all of these systems in a Remixed way: which systems we are going to Remix, which systems we are going to Remix and add new things to, which of all the different drops that came from all over the place in Legion are going to be accessible via currency.” Legion is popular among players for its class order halls and class-specific artifact weapons (which we have plenty of guides for!), so there is a lot to be excited about.
But, this is not all!
New Game Mode Announcement
A very quick teaser was dropped for an upcoming new Game Mode for World of Warcraft!
Sadly, even less info here, with a more major announcement planned later, but we know that the new vibe will be “Scary Stories”, and it will definitely not be Battle Royale again.

The team is planning “a significantly larger info dump later” for these announcements and more (the team plans to keep updating us on the player housing), so we will have to stay tuned!
