Blizzard just announced that with the release of patch 9.2, players will be able to participate in arena matches in two new, Shadowlands themed arenas:

  • The Maldraxxus Coliseum in the Theater of Pain.
  • The Enigma Arena in the new zone Zereth Mortis, with a switch in the middle of the arena allowing players to create or deny cover.

While there is no release date for patch 9.2 just yet, you will soon be able to try those arenas out on the PTR.

Eternity’s End brings two brand-new Arenas, calling upon seasoned gladiators and newcomers alike to conquer their foes in valorous combat. Seek glory in the Maldraxxus Coliseum and the Enigma Arena.

For eons, the Necrolords of Maldraxxus honed their craft at the Maldraxxus Coliseum in the Theater of Pain. Now the Arena is open to any would-be challengers—and there’s no shortage of champions willing to test their mettle. Prove yourself worthy. Only the strong will survive.

ENIGMA ARENA

Enigma Arena
Harness the power of the First Ones and change the field of battle.

The mysterious Enigma Arena from Zereth Mortis was created by the Progenitors and serves as an ever-changing battlefield. A switch located at the center of the Arena can be used to create cover for yourself and your allies—or deny it from your opponents. Clever strategists will control and dictate the flow of battle; those who cannot adapt will surely be defeated.

MEET YOUR FOES IN BATTLE

Look forward to these two new Arenas coming soon to the PTR and later on when Eternity’s End launches. We’ll see you in the Shadowlands, champion!
