There’s a new expansion on the way, The War Within, and that means there’s a new cinematic trailer as well. This time, the CGI is more detailed than ever, with some truly stunning visuals. These videos have come a long way in nearly 20 years, much like the characters they feature.
As the trailer opens, we witness Anduin resting in a sandy place, with solemn music playing. A voice whispers to him, and we get a glimpse of the glowing heart of Azeroth. Then Thrall arrives to tell the young paladin that the world needs him. They discuss the visions they’ve been seeing from the world’s heart. Anduin grows angry, telling Thrall that he isn’t the person he once was. A moment of tension passes before the two leaders are interrupted by the voice again. Thrall offers a hand, and Anduin takes it, saying he’ll stand with the shaman. The two then gaze at the Sword of Sargeras in the distance, with Thrall saying, “That sword was aimed at someone.”
The trailer sets the scene for the Worldsoul Saga, which will contain three expansions. You can watch the full trailer in all its glory below.
