From previously established lore, we know that Nozdormu will shatter the timeways to create the Infinite Dragonflight, losing his mind and becoming Murozand in the process. In this epic saga, Nozdormu the Timeless will battle the Old God’s as well as his sanity for the fate of Azeroth itself.
Blizzard has set a precedent of releasing animated shorts before an expansion release, to familiarize the player base with the major characters and lore of the expansion to come. For example the Afterlives Animated Series that preceded Shadowlands.
