Traditional Flying Coming to the Dragon Isles in Dragonflight Patch 10.2

wow dragonflight emerald dream flying

Patch 10.2 Guardians of the Dream is coming to Dragonflight November 7th, and along with all of the other content in the update, we’ll finally be able to use traditional flying mounts in the Dragon Isles.

As with previous new continents, flying in the Dragon Isles will require completing an achievement, Dragon Isles Pathfinder. This achievement only needs to be completed once per account. Once completed, it will unlock flying mounts in the Dragon Isles for all characters on the account.

The achievement requires completing the zone storylines for Waking Shores, Ohn’ahran Plains, Azure Span, Thaldraszus, Forbidden Reach, and Zaralek Cavern. You’ll also need to reach Renown level 15 with all six of the major Dragon Isles Factions. (There is no Renown requirement for the achievement per a later blue post.) Finally, you’ll have to fully explore Zaralek Cavern and the new Emerald Dream zone.

As for using Dragonriding mounts in areas outside of the Dragon Isles, that remains to be seen. Perhaps we’ll hear some plans for this at BlizzCon this weekend.
