In an interview with Icy Veins, Senior Game Producer Josh Greenfield and Lead Software Engineer Nora Valletta revealed a few more details about Cataclysm Classic, including that the Looking for Raid tool is not currently planned for the expansion.

Originally added in Patch 4.3, LFR allowed players to queue and run a lower-difficulty version of a raid with strangers. Like the similar Looking for Dungeon tool, it was a controversial feature, with some casual players grateful to have the content become more accessible while other players felt that it hindered the sense of community and accomplishment that comes with forming your own groups. The developers are still discussing whether to implement this feature into Classic, but currently it sounds like the answer is no.

They are planning to adjust the content cadence and speed up the release of patches for Cataclysm. There may also be some adjustments to the 10 and 25 man raid difficulties and the guild reward system. Zul’Aman and Zul’Gurub will be released as a mid-content patch and not a separate phase.
