When the orcs first invaded Azeroth under the brutish Warchief Blackhand, the Dragonmaw Clan was among them. The clan was once empowered by Deathwing to enslave the Red Dragonflight, forcing even the Dragon Queen Alexstrasza to fight for the Horde, but the dragons have since escaped their captors. You may have encountered some remnants of the Dragonmaw Clan in the Wetlands, or in Shadowmoon Valley in Outland where they enslaved nether dragons at the behest of Illidan Stormrage. But the core of the faction is located in Twilight Highlands, and Horde players are tasked with bringing them back into the fold. Only Horde players can gain reputation with this faction, as Wow Alliance Crest Alliance gain access to the Wildhammer Clan instead.

Players start at Neutral with the Dragonmaw Clan. This guide will get you all the way to Exalted with the faction.

Who Needs Dragonmaw Clan Rep?

Most Horde players will find something worthwhile at the Dragonmaw Clan Quartermaster as long as they aren’t in full raid gear. Here are some examples:

  • Strength DPS will be interested in getting at least Revered for the Arcanum of the Dragonmaw helm enchantment, which offers Strength and Mastery.
  • Agility DPS will want Liar’s Handwraps for their pre-raid set, which requires reaching Exalted.
  • Caster DPS as well will be interested in getting Exalted to get Yellow Smoke Pendant for their pre-raid gear.
  • Tanks will want to get Exalted to add Boots of Sullen Rock to their pre-raid set.
  • Resto Druids will also want to reach Exalted to grab Withered Dream Belt for their pre-raid gear.

In addition, if you’re collecting achievements you may want to get Dragonmaw Clan reputation for the following:

  • Dragonmaw Clan
  • 40 Exalted Reputations (Title: “The Exalted”)

To gain reputation with the Dragonmaw Clan, you’ll first need to complete quests in the Twilight Highlands zone until at least Friendly. You can get well into Honored by completing the first half of the zone’s storyline. There isn’t much rep available in the second half.

Once you’re Friendly, you’ll have another option to continue gaining reputation with the faction by wearing a Tabard of the Dragonmaw Clan in Cataclysm dungeons. This tabard can be purchased at Friendly and will work all the way through Exalted.

Finally, by completing the first half of the Twilight Highlands quest chain, you will unlock some daily quests that also give Dragonmaw Clan reputation. We’ll cover those in their own section below.

Dragonmaw Clan Quests

Completing quests in the Twilight Highlands zone is the only way to reach Friendly with the Dragonmaw Clan and unlock the faction’s tabard and daily quests.

To start the Twilight Highlands quest chain, you can head to the Warchief’s Command Board in Orgrimmar. Twilight Highlands is a level 84-85 zone, so you’ll need to be at least level 84 to be able to pick up the breadcrumb quest, which is Warchief’s Command: Twilight Highlands!

Below you’ll find a complete list of quests in Twilight Highlands that give Dragonmaw Clan reputation along with how much is granted. Some quests don’t give Dragonmaw Clan rep, but are required to continue in the quest chain. Many of those quests offer Bilgewater Cartel, Orgrimmar, or Earthen Ring reputation instead. The second half of the zone’s story awards hardly any Dragonmaw Clan reputation.

You won’t gain any Dragonmaw Clan reputation from these quests, but they are necessary to progress the story.
