Cataclysm Classic launched yesterday after an abbreviated Pre-Patch and PTR period, and the last 24 hours have brought a few hotfixes to the new Classic expansion.
Included is a fix for players who were experiencing issues due to being in the middle of the Wrathgate and Battle for Undercity quests, which are no longer available in Cataclysm. There were also a few class ability fixes which you can see listed below.
A separate fix has also been applied to spawn the Bloodthirsty PvP vendors which were previously missing from the game. So if you’ve been sitting at the Honor cap and are looking to buy some gear, head to Orgrimmar or Stormwind and have at it!
The developers also posted that they are aware that it’s currently possible to craft some iLvl 377 PvP items, and they plan to correct this and remove the items from any players that have them. So while it may be tempting to make these items while they’re available, you’ll be wasting your time.

Cataclysm Classic
- Players experiencing phasing issues from Wrathgate or Battle for Undercity quests that are deprecated in Cataclysm Classic should now be in the correct phase in Orgrimmar and Undercity.
- Hunter
- Hunter traps are now faster and more consistent in their arming times.
- Shaman
- Fixed an issue with Shaman Greater Fire Elemental dealing too much damage with its Fire Nova spell.
- Warrior
- Fixed an issue preventing Slam from being logged properly in the combat log.
