Level 85 Character Boosts Can Be Used on Monks, But Not Pandaren for Mists of Pandaria Classic

Following the announcement of level 85 character boosts being awarded in Classic progression realms for defeating a specific boss in Season of Discovery, Blizzard has clarified how character boosts can be used as we approach the Mists of Pandaria pre-patch and the release of the Monk class and Pandaren race. Presumably this information also applies to other level 85 character boosts, including those available from the Epic Edition and the Battle.net shop.

It seems that Monks will be eligible for level 85 character boosts, but Pandaren characters will not. That means that if your Monk is also a Pandaren, you will not be able to boost them.

The ability to boost a Monk will likely appeal to many players considering the short three-week timeframe between the class becoming available in the pre-patch and the launch of MoP Classic. On the other hand, Monks have unique class buffs available to them that increase their experience, making them relatively fast to level compared to other classes.

Yes, as long as your monk is a Draenei, Dwarf, Gnome, Human, Night Elf, Blood Elf, Orc, Tauren, Troll, or Undead.
