PvE Elemental Shaman Gems, Enchants, & Consumables

PvE Elemental Shaman Gems, Enchants, & Consumables

Most definitely do not slack on the enchants, gems, and consumables available to you. The amount of stats you can get from these enhancements can be equal to an entire piece of gear or more! It’s a gold investment, but one worth making if you’re looking to do the most damage you possibly can.

Gems

You’ll want to prioritize hitting your spell hit cap of 15% as that’ll be your main DPS gain until you do hit it. Of course, Intellect is a stat that can only come from so many sources, being a primary stat, so you’ll want to get as much of it as you can through the gems that offer it as it directly increases your Spell Power. Then finally, if the previous requirements are satisfied, then you can focus on secondary stats like Mastery or Haste.

Cog-Wheel Socket

A special socket type for Engineers who craft a Energized Retinal Armor for themselves. You can slot in special gems that are crafted by Engineers that offer bonus stats. It’s recommended to use this slot for secondary stats like Mastery and Haste for DPS gains unless you can perfectly balance your Hit/Spirit through these slots and make use of other areas to increase throughput.

Potions

Make sure to bring both a DPS potion and a healing potion. They do not share a cooldown, and having a defensive option for free is just an easy choice to make.

Food

You’re going to have a few different options for food buffs as it depends on what your Hit cap and secondary stats are at. Also, if you’re a Pandaren you’ll have the Epicurean racial to increase buffs from foods, so make sure not to skip out!
