Another week, another new round of testing on the Mists of Pandaria Classic Beta – and some bug fixes (and unfixed bugs) to go with it.
There are a couple of issues with pet macros currently, and players are unable to discover new recipes for Alchemy. There are a number of bugs with the user interface as well.
Among the fixes this week is a correction to the Discipline Priest‘s Divine Aegis effect, which was giving extra healing as well as absorb. Issues with the UI scale resetting should also be fixed.

Known Issues – May 22
We are tracking the following known issues:
General
- You stop turning if you have the move and turn keys both pressed and release the Move key.
- Players are unable to discover new Alchemy recipes.
- Using a /petautocaston or /petautocastoff macro with a temporary pet (ex. a Shaman elemental pet) causes a crash.
Classes
- Ranged attacks can be blocked, but they cannot be dodged.
- /petassist does not function.
- Spell costs that involve a % of Maximum Health do not display that cost on the tooltip (i.e. Life Tap, Soulshatter).
- Specialization respec is currently free.
- Dust of Disappearance is not allowing players to change talents.
- Shadowy effects from spells look different than the original MoP.
- The expertise tooltip rounds the Dodge and Parry chances to the lower half-percent.
- Druid
- Mastery: Total Eclipse does not dynamically update.
- Hunter
- Pet focus does not regenerate out of combat.
- Aspect of the Iron Hawk shows as active on the hotbar even when deactivated.
- Monk
- Monks are using weapons instead of their fists during combat (cosmetic).
- Shaman
- Glyph of Chaining: Spell jump range increase of Chain Heal is not applied.
- Searing Totem does not swap to your most recent Flame Shock or Stormstrike target.
- Warlock
- Drain Soul has inconsistent mana cost.
- “Grimoire of Supremacy” does not remove the basic Summon Demon variants.
Dungeons
- Mogu’shan Palace is not available for Challenge Dungeons.
Pet Battles
- Pets from the Classic Digital Deluxe Editions are not showing in Journal.
- Pet healing abilities don’t function properly.
Quests
- The Jade Forest
- Lighting dramatically changes during the quest “Scouting Report: On the Right Track”.
- Krasarang Wilds
- Players can go really fast while Rafting during the quest “Scavenger Hunt”.
User Interface
- The flight map UI has scaling issues.
- Scenario Accept Screen missing background art.
- Multiple icons are squished on the player’s minimap.
- The filters on the minimap may not track properly if you turn them on and off several times.
- Quest text is not instant. To enable Instant Quest Text, you’ll need to go to Options → Interface → Display.
- Enemy nameplates are not updating health value as enemies take damage.
Fixed Issues – May 22
We’ve fixed the following issues:
General
- You are now able to use the decline button on a questgiver’s UI.
Classes
- Expertise now reduces Dodge and Parry by the correct amount.
- Fixed several tooltips across classes.
- Dual Specialization is now working.
- Druid
- Soul of the Forest is not consumed by Typhoon.
- Mage
- Pyroblast clears Presence of Mind
- Mages can no longer use the Timberhusk buff to stack damage reduction.
- Water Elemental regenerates mana.
- The Water Elemental’s maximum mana is fixed.
- Priest
- Discipline Priests no longer get both the extra healing and the absorb from Divine Aegis.
- Glyph of Sha causes your Shadowfiend and Mindbender to initiate a global cooldown.
- Prayer of Mending’s Divine Insight variant is fixed.
- Prayer of Mending healing has been corrected.
- Shaman
- Glyph of Chain Lighting fixed.
- Warlock
- Demonic Calling is now disabled when Imp Swarm is glyphed.
- Shadow Bite generates Demonic Fury.
- Fire and Brimstone ember cost fixed.
- Shadow Bulwark is no longer granting too much health to the Voidwalker.
Dungeons
- Gate of the Setting Sun – Saboteur Kip’tilak’s Sabotage no longer does too much damage to the initial target.
- Several models are no longer offset in the Dungeon Journal.
- MoP Normal Dungeons show up at level 90 in the Random Dungeon Finder.
Quests
- Multiple quests’ gold rewards have been fixed.
- Valley of the Four Winds
- Looting Preserved Vegetable now counts towards objective credit during “The Thousand-Year Dumpling”
User Interface
- The flight master map now opens.
- UI scale should persist between client sessions or reloading.
