PvE Shadow Priest Best in Slot (BiS)

Gear is your character’s main source of power and progression in World of Warcraft. As Shadow Priests progress through Mists of Pandaria, they will seek to maintain consistent mana regeneration while also leaning more and more into their throughput stats.

Priests can only use Cloth armor, and will receive 5% increased Intellect from all gear through their Mysticism passive ability. The Ranged equipment slot is gone in Mists of Pandaria, with Wands going into the Main-hand slot instead.

Phase 1 Best-in-Slot Items

This is the best gear that you can obtain in Phase 1 of Mists of Pandaria, including gear from the three Tier 14 raids: Mogu’Shan Vaults, Heart of Fear, and Terrace of Endless Spring. Don’t forget to gem, enchant, and reforge every item to complete your optimization.

Both Tier 14 set bonuses are worth pursuing for Shadow Priests. We’ve included alternatives for slots where there is at least one other item that is very close in terms of power. When you have all of your set bonuses, you your shoulders are the best slot to swap for a non-set piece.
