Gear is one of the most vital aspects and represents the source of power for your character in World of Warcraft. As Retribution Paladins adventure through the Mists of Pandaria they will seek items that increase their Hit, Expertise, Strength, Haste, and Mastery. Some items will also include Critical Strike Chance, but most of them will be reforged.

Phase 1 Best-in-Slot

This is the best gear you can obtain in Phase 1 of Mists of Pandaria, including gear from the three Tier 14 raids: Mogu’Shan Vaults, Heart of Fear, and Terrace of Endless Spring. Don’t forget to gem, enchant, and reforge every item to complete your optimization.

Both Tier14 item-set bonuses are strong for Retribution Paladins, acting as direct damage amplifiers, meaning that you will always want to get at least 4 items from the set. You may even run a full 5-piece set with reforging or use a traditional 4-piece set during the first phase.

In addition, as most items have an excess of Hit and Expertise you will find yourself reforging a majority of them into Haste and Mastery as you pass the cap.
