In Mists of Pandaria, many professions have uniform bonuses for raw stats, resulting in a bonus of 320 in that specific stat for primary stats and 640 for secondary stats. Some professions, such as Tailoring, Herbalism, and Engineering, provide far greater bonuses, yet only for a limited duration.

The best professions for Combat Rogue in Mists of Pandaria Classic are:

• Engineering allows you to create Gadgets and Bombs and grants access to Synapse Springs, which grants a short 1920 Agility buff.
• Blacksmithing – Gives you access to two additional sockets, Socket Gloves + Socket Bracer. Allows further stat customization, resulting in either 320 bonus Agility or 640 bonus Haste/Mastery.
• Jewelcrafting – Grants access to special Serpent’s Eye gems with increased stats. In the same scenario as Blacksmithing, the gems allow for further customization, such as 320 bonus Agility or 640 bonus Haste/Mastery.
• Tailoring – Allows you to create valuable Cloth items and gives you access to Swordguard Embroidery, resulting in a 4000 Attack Power bonus for a short duration. While this is the highest Attack Power bonus you can gain from professions, raw Agility or Haste/Mastery tends to perform better.

• Enchanting – Allows you to add extra enchantments to your rings. The total value is around 320 Agility.

Sub-Par Professions

• Herbalism – Grants Lifeblood, which results in a 480 Haste bonus. Overall, it is weaker than other professional bonuses.
