The fourth week of Beta testing has begun for Mists of Pandaria Classic, bringing us to the first round of raid testing with Mogu’shan Vaults, one of three raids that make up Tier 14. To facilitate testing the raids and other endgame content, Blizzard has added the ability to create level 90 template characters in the Beta in addition to the existing level 85 template characters and transfers from live Cataclysm realms.
Pet battles are now available as well, so you can get out there and tame every critter you find to engage in the pet battle mini-game that is new to WoW Classic with Mists of Pandaria. Gotta catch ’em all! To get started, seek out a trainer in Stormwind or Orgrimmar.
Raid testing begins at 1:00 PM PDT tomorrow, May 16th, and ends Monday, May 19 at 10:00 AM PDT. There are new vendors in faction capitals and the two Shrine hubs in Pandaria, allowing you to purchase everything from max-level profession skills to consumables and dungeon gear. There’s also an NPC who will teleport you to the raid when you find a group.
For our fourth week of Beta, it’s time to uncover the mysteries of the Mogu in the first MoP Raid: Mogu’shan Vaults.
Testers can also begin the journey towards becoming a legendary Tamer, as Pet Battles are now added to the Beta.

Level 85 Mists of Pandaria character templates are available, and you can also copy your live characters from Cataclysm Classic.
Please note that the following major features will not be available this week, but will be arriving soon:

Raid Test – Friday, May 16 through Monday, May 19.
- The Mogu’shan Vaults raid will begin at 1:00 p.m. PDT on May 16, and end at 10:00 a.m. on May 19.
- New level 90 template characters will be available for the raid, with iLvl 463 gear.
- Vendors are available in the following locations:
- Shrine of Two Moons – The Golden Terrace
- Shrine of Seven Stars – The Summer Terrace
- Orgrimmar – Valley of Strength
- Stormwind – Trade District
- Vendors include:
- Instructaur, to teach you max-level professions.
- Flaskataur, for all of your flask, potion, enchant, and gem needs.
- Glyphtaur, to acquire your glyphs.
- Dungeontaur, to acquire Heroic Pandaria dungeon loot (including rare and epic pieces) and reputation tokens for the major Pandaria factions.
- Donjon Rade, to teleport you to the raid.
- Note: If you’re on a level 90 template that can’t learn a second profession, please go to Instructaur and select ‘Jewelcrafting’. This will allow you to unlearn all of your professions and choose your own.
Pet Battles
- To begin, find a trainer in any of the small cities near the racial capitals, or Audrey Burnhep in Stormwind, or Varzok in Orgrimmar
- Interact with them and select to train.
