Leatherworking Leather & Hide
Leatherworking patterns require leather and hide as their primary materials. Many of these materials can be gathered with the Skinning skill, but some can also be crafted by Leatherworkers from lower-level materials. There are also a few items that require special curing or otherwise combining materials, sometimes with a cooldown involved.

Hide Table
Lower level hides must be cured before you can use them in crafting patterns. Magnificent Hide is crafted from Pandaria leather and scales. Some of the recipes to make it have a one-day cooldown.
