Right so time to get some stuff off my chest lol:
What about you guys?
Mages - Free fucking portals and food, ridiculous farming ability
Now, now, I have to chip in here and say that portals and teleports aren't free! They're often more expensive than taking the flight taxi - just way faster, but good lord I spent gold on those runes of teleportation over at Nost, it's just so convenient!
Free food and water is the shit though.
To add to the conversation!
- As a warrior, just, any amount of self heal. I wanted that pretty bad.
- Envious of Reincarnation and Soulstone
As a warrior:
- Mage: "Oh you wanted to attack me? Here's you frost nova. You freed? Here's your Cone of Cold and my Blink. You managed to reach me? What do you think about this polymorph? Or maybe I could just Ice Block and wait for reinforcement... no one is coming for me you said? Well, I think your frost nova is ready again!"
- Paladin: healing themselves all the time, and when you think you've done... Lay on Hands! And if you manage to get them down again, bubble heart!
- Warlock (pre diminishing-return): fearfearfearfearfearfear
- Paladin: healing themselves all the time, and when you think you've done... Lay on Hands! And if you manage to get them down again, bubble heart!
Pallys by far, not much of a threat but I leave them be in the wild because I don't have the time to work down through each of their cooldowns.
...and Mages in my deadzone!!!
Mages that spam Polymorph a mob you tagged because they wanted to tag it.
Paladins in general for PvP regards; their tool kit is pretty atrocious.
Whenever I started leveling a class and hit ~level 20 and saw what the other classes could do, I immediatley wanted to level everything but the class I am currently playing. I absolutely loved the concept of Rogues being stealthed and probably leveled about 5 Rogues to level 15 or so. Other than that I always envied Paladins for their incredible tankiness despite being a healer (basically hated being ganked by them).
You levelled 5 rogues to level 15? That’s dedication to alright!

I hear that Paladins were unanimously ignored out in the world because of the CDs and the free escape.
Hammer of Justice, Lay on Hands, Bubblehearth - am I missing anything?

The way I did it Mage vs Ret while leveling is bait him into thinking he can kill me if he uses Bubble offensively and just kite then draw out freedom and kill him in the next shatter. 9/10 people aren’t going to juke CS with their heal cast so it’s 100% to 0 with shatter/CS on his first heal post bubble. If you’re forced to Blink before HoJ and block is on CD; almost certainly dead mage. If you’re forced to Nova before freedom and block is on CD; probably dead mage.

Problem was that they never seemed to ignore me :(
Paladins had a get-out-of-jail-free-card.....
The only thing that I envy is the mages farming ability. I could live with everything else. I play a warlock, I summon demons of the purest evil and ride on a mount that traverses on a trail of fire. What more could I want?
Locks are ok at farming too I hear, perhaps not as ‘optimally’ as Mages but still better than say a Warrior or something.

What do mages know anyway? They spend too long in the cold if you ask me
Suffering in a kite of a hunter while leveling.
And when you try to cast a spell, the pet just kills you and delays your cast.
Great experience.
I was always jealous of classes that could increase their move speed before level 40. Aspect of the cheetah, travel form, or even just blink or sprint -- any time I was running anywhere, I'd get passed.
Hm,...kinda hard to say; played druid in classic (late), leveling was really decent, ofc not having a ress kind sucked but never seemed to matter that much.
As a priest the one or two things that I am jealous of are the innvervate/invocation abilities that druids and mages have.
the lack of low-cd crowd control for farming also kinda sucks, even with holy nova, but I guess not everyone gets to be a mage!
other than that ? the fact that hunters can just rely on their pets for 90% of their damage and still do decent dps, similar to how rogues deals most of their damage through auto-attacks...always seemed lame to me (y that is lake 50% of a servers population, but whatever).
But all in all, am pretty happy to be a priest;)
I have always hated hunters for the same reason as Yori mentioned above ^ It’s just too easy for them.
As someone who plays mage but always wanted elemental shaman to be viable in PvE:
A comparable rank of lightning bolt to other classes nukes. Max rank Lightning bolt is a lot weaker than max rank Frostbolt/Fireball/Shadowbolt. Not only that, but those other spells get additional bonus ranks from the AQ tomes.
Also, Fire mage gets a talent that gives them mana regen from crits called...Master of the Elements. And Elemental shaman gets nothing like that. Yeah. Like Elemental Shaman has a lot of crit only through talents and base int. Like 25% chance to crit without gear. And that talent would be great. But alas.
