Furious
If I'm not working or spending time with the family I'm probably gaming. Some of my favorite recent games I've played are Far Cry 5, World of Warcraft Classic, and 7 Days to Die.
Nakroma

Usually found behind the scenes tinkering with the technical side of things, Nakroma sometimes takes a break from building the next tool to run some dungeons with friends.

Mila Grish
Dedicated contributor at Lexicon Gaming and a part-time collector of books she will never have time to actually read. Jumps on the newest releases just as quickly as on the uncovered dusty collections from the basement. For her, shiny graphics can never be an excuse to not have a polished player experience or an immersive story.
DanielD
An avid reader of sci-fi, fantasy, and history. Believes disagreement should mean discourse, not flame wars. Still searching for that next game that grabs him the way (those mimics in) Dark Souls did.

Nevermore
Hey there folks, I am Nevermore and have been deeply passionate about WoW for more than a decade. Whether we talk about the hidden mysteries of Azeroth or the otherworldly Outland, my journey brought me here to share the things that I have experienced with you all.
Shadostruct
I've been playing WoW since beta with some breaks here and there. I'm a semi-hardcore to hardcore raider that focuses on retail mainly. I'm a big fan of giant dragons and am excited for all that Dragonflight will have to offer.
Luxrah
I've been playing World of Warcraft on and off since vanilla, usually as a healer or caster and often as a guild leader. I play both retail and classic. I also love RPGs, sandboxes, and sims.
Strong
Thrall is the best Warcraft character; tell me I'm wrong. Long-time Blizzard fan who thinks that gnomes are the worst type of people and rogues don't tip (except into your spine). Flying mounts should never have been added to the game, and playing 12 hours of WoW a day just makes you "dedicated."

Judgement
My name is Judgement and I am a Classic WoW enthusiast. I have been playing WoW since Vanilla and in the most recent years I have been spending a lot of time playing Vanilla WoW private servers. After Classic was announced I started to work on leveling routes and doing speedruns.
Zephan
I am a Classic Warlock enthusiast and in general like theorycrafting. I am the owner and admin of the best community in the whole wide world, being the Classic Warlock Discord. This is the home of some of the best Warlocks in this game and the basis for theorycrafting and figuring out the optimal plays for us warlocks. My aim is to make sure this up-to-date information is out there everywhere to be found and to give back to the community.
Taladril
Long time Classic WoW fan, I've had more fun building tools for the game than actually playing it.

bobodingo
Sup yall! My name is Bobodingo and I've been playing wow since its release. I'm an avid player trying to make some good, quality content and share my ideas with the rest of the WoW community. I'm always down to have a conversation and bounce ideas off each other!
Spannah
Long time World of Warcraft player, I'm always looking for new music to listen to, and weird facts and news to share with friends. I mostly play retail World of Warcraft nowadays, with some occasional Hunt, League of Legends, and Dead by Daylight.
Pride
Classic WoW is my jam, with a passion for PvP. Most know me as Baranor, the ret paladin guy, but I'm secretly a druid main, don't tell anyone. In my free time I play Switch games, particularly JRPGs. Some day I'll be making my own games and I humbly hope you play those too!
Oxykitten
I've been an avid WoW player since Vanilla. At 6 years old, I was slowly progressing through Blackfathom Deeps and levelling up with my brothers. Since Classic Wow launched, I've found a new way to enjoy the game; participating in Feral Druid theorycrafting communities and performing well in an underdog class has been a fun challenge. I hope to be able to share all I've learned with anyone who shares that interest!
Passion
I love MMOs of all shades, especially the nitty gritty numbers parts of them. You might recognize me from the Shadow Priest discord, otherwise I play a little bit of everything, especially games with support roles available.
Metasaber
Hi, my name is Metasaber, but I often go by Meta in-game. I have been playing WoW on and off for over a decade. Upon my return to Shadowlands, I became increasingly interested in Raiding and Mythic+. I have mained Ret Paladin for the majority of the expansion, but have started to explore other classes/specs to play in M+ the past couple of seasons. My recent hobbies outside of WoW are exploring new games for the GameCube and Hiking!
churchvibez
I've been playing Classic World of Warcraft at the highest level for many years, taking part in world first raiding, speedrunning, and occasionally speedleveling through newly released content.

A Brief History of Warcraft Tavern

Warcraft Tavern started by Furious as a passion project when Blizzard announced WoW Classic in 2017 with the goal of being a useful resource for players with news, guides, and tools.

2018 – Night Elf Mohawk

Initial development and content was started and the site was launched as Night Elf Mohawk on the nightelfmohawk.com domain in 2018 (in October? Not really sure anymore.. 😅). When it launched it had some basic news, a Vanilla WoW 1.12 talent calculator, and only a few guides.

Long term players will get the reference in how the original name was chosen, and for those who don’t take a moment to enjoy a fantastic commercial from Blizzard that inspired it!

A “petpedia” was added, which was a database of all hunter pets that would be available in WoW Classic with a ton of data, images, filters, and categorization. We ended up not keeping this database long term because the amazing Petopia decided to add a section for WoW Classic and we knew they would be better positioned to keep it up to date for players. I still have a folder on my hard drive of all of the hunter pet images I took though!

2019 – Warcraft Tavern, Gnarly Guides, & WoWClassicBiS.com

We continued to add news, guides, and features to the site through 2018 and 2019. We also rebranded to Warcraft Tavern in May of 2019 with some slight design changes and a new (and very much worse) logo.

I know, trust me. The logo was with us through the launch of WoW Classic on August 26, 2019 but only lasted until September when it was updated with this magnificent work of art.

Thankfully that one didn’t last long either, and the logo was updated to the logo that carried us all the way through until the middle of 2025.

We purchased GnarlyGuides.com in May, which was a class guide site for the Wrath of the Lich King. We also purchased Wowclassicbis.com in November.

2020 – Barrens Chat

We had some big changes in 2020! Still pushing out new content, the team was growing, and we purchased a WoW Classic forum site called Barrens.chat.

In August we merged Warcraft Tavern and Barrens Chat into a single site that lived on the barrens.chat domain. It looked great but it was a nightmare to manage along with a declining forum section so we didn’t keep it long.

2021 – Warcraft Tavern (the Sequel)

In January of 2021 we moved the site back to WarcraftTavern.com and merged GnarlyGuides.com into the redone site to start our WotLK section. We also purchased Willitclassic.com, a WoW Classic addon list site to improve our addon section on the site.

We kept covering Classic, adding TBC, WotLK, and the others along the way and honestly the design of the site didn’t change very much for the next four years.

2025 – Wow Tavern

After four years we started a redesign project. As the site has grown to thousands of guides, news posts, and many tools the project was a lot more complex than it was before. Although the design loses some of the unique styling we spent a lot of time focusing on being easy to use and navigate.
