It would seem that Blizzard is gearing up for the release of phase 3 and tier 6 content, aka patch 2.5.3.

To that end, Kaivax just announced that the TBC Classic PTR servers are once again back up for players to test the new content and submit feedback and bug reports before its release. The current delineation for the new patch is 2.5.3.41750, which differs from the previous PTR, indicating Blizzard has been busy tweaking things behind the scenes.

There is currently no determined end date for this PTR, though it stands to reason that it won’t be up for too long, given that patch 2.5.3 will most likely be released sometime in mid to late January.

In order to participate in the PTR, you need to switch the current Game Version on your Battle.net app, located just over the “Play” button when you have World of Warcraft Classic selected. You want to select the “Public Test Realm (Classic BCC)” option. It is a relatively small download, given that game data is shared with the non-PTR version of TBC Classic.

What are your thoughts on this topic? Are you going to try out the new content on the PTR, or would you prefer to not have it spoiled for you & instead experience it for the first time with your guild once it is released? Let us know in the comments below!

We’ll update you again on our next closure time, which has yet to be determined.
