Heirlooms Guide: Vendor Locations & Upgrades

Heirlooms are special pieces of equipment that scale with the level of your character and provide powerful scaling stats, and sometimes even an experience bonus. They are ideal for leveling, not only for the increased experience they provide but because you will not need to replace them as you level up. Heirlooms are also account bound, meaning that once you obtain one, you will be able to use it for any character on the same account.

Once an heirloom has been acquired, it will appear in the Heirloom tab of your Collections window. There you can click on it, and a new copy of the item will be added to your character’s bag. You do not need to purchase the item again or send it by mail.

Currently there are two types of heirlooms in the game. Heirlooms from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion can scale up to level 80, while those that were added in Cataclysm can scale all the way to 85. Most heirlooms can be bought with gold. Some can also be bought with other forms of currency. We’ll cover where and how you can buy each piece in this guide.

Where to Buy Heirlooms

Heirlooms can be bought in a few different places depending on the currency you wish to purchase them with. Note that guild heirlooms are bought with gold, but you will need to reach a certain level of Guild Reputation first.

Enchantments for Heirlooms

In Mists of Pandaria, any enchantment can be applied to an heirloom, so you won’t need to use any special low-level enchantments for them. Whatever enchantments you apply will simply scale down to your character’s level.

If you want to transfer an enchanted heirloom to another character, you’ll need to do so by mailing it rather than obtaining it from the Collections window.

Good evening, I don’t know if my comment is useful but there is a weapon missing from the inheritance, a firearm that was renewed because of the monks in MoP Burnished Warden Staff
