What class will you play for TBC classic?
Right now I am leveling a hunter because I read it was the easiest class to solo level. Plus having a pet is fun. But I am wondering about maybe doing a healing class instead so it will be easier to find groups for dungeons. What about all of you?
We will very likely see a decrease in available healers since many Paladins will be choosing to go Protection instead of Holy, so you have a good idea, but just remember there will always be groups needing a DPS, so play what you enjoy. Early on into the 'expansion' healing will likely be pretty boring since most tanks will have had access to high-end raiding gear which makes them take less and less damage, causing you to wonder how long the squirrel is going to hang off your bird feeder outside before it falls, rather than focusing on the game.
Hunters are phenomenal solo-levelers. They're also great multi-taskers, as well. (Kill a mob, send your pet to start attacking another while you mine, skin or herb/ use your pet to distract mobs while you swoop in and pick up the quest item, etc.)
I'll be playing a Protection Paladin as I've done in every expansion since 2006. (Angryman, Kul Tiras) I'm loving them on the Beta, even with some of their abilities not working correctly just yet.
I'm currently leveling a mage in Classic -- just like you, I was concerned about finding groups for dungeons, but since most dungeons need multiple DPS, it hasn't been too hard to get a group for an instance. Planning on taking my mage into TBC, though I'm afraid I won't get him to 58 before it launches.
Rogue, same as always
Edit: The smiley face on this forum is terrifying.
